#TOY Project
The goal is for older volunteers to become a safe space for children to share their feelings and their stories through art—making.
Methodology
The Play of Painting methodology was developed by Arno Stern of RISE (Research Institute of the Semiology of Expression, Paris). The Play of Painting has the virtues of play but without competition or comparisons, instead differences are affirmed and respected. It is designed to stimulate the capacities of emotional regulation and self-confidence. The TOY Project has adapted the Painting Game so that it can be conducted in primary schools and community centers for children.
The program is conducted as an after school activity for one hour, once a week. Each project last for 6 weeks.
